Athena Trigenis, the founder of Roots Wellness Center, is a licensed clinical psychologist, Reiki Master Teacher and EFT practitioner, committed to helping you restore and maintain balance joy and overall wellbeing in your lives.  As a practitioner, she integrates traditional psychotherapy (Eclectic-Integrative approaches) with eastern modalities in her work.  She also provides her clients with at-home practices that can easily be incorporated into your daily routine. Each session is crafted around your current goals and individual needs, while you receive the necessary support to move toward your desired outcomes. Based on your preferences, supplementary techniques may also be incorporated in sessions, such as Positive Psychology, Law of Attraction and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).  Results you may experience include increased life satisfaction, mental clarity, heightened motivation, and enhanced emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. Athena’s work with clients emerges from a lifetime of personal experience and studies in the field of holistic health.  She has a dual Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wales.  Aside from her formal schooling, Athena has a broad background of training in holistic health including studying: Mind Body Medicine & Meditation Practices for Everyday Living (Harvard University CME in collaboration with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine), Foundations in Clinical Hypnosis (Hypnosis Motivation Institute), Trauma Therapy for PTSD, Training in Greif Counseling, Reiki, EFT, and Color Therapy.
